Welcome to Miami, Florida

updated - May 2, 2012

While the greater Miami area that includes the downtown, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and others is connected in almost every way to the Miami Beach area, we have chosen to separate the two into distinct websites. If you're interested in traveling to the Miami Beach area, you'll find more detail on the Miami Beach website.

That said, the greater Miami area has emerged as if it were an entirely different area. With tremendous influence from Cuba and South America, it has become as international a city as you can get and still be in the United States.

Just in the area of the Arts, Miami has become a recognized beacon for rising and talented artists to lay down roots and draw inspiration. The diversity that Miami offers is unparalleled - perhaps like New York was at one time.

Miami - diverse, lively and upbeat

This website covers the Miami area and includes the neighboring cities of Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne and Homestead. Miami Beach is covered by our separate site: Miami Beach
